A Family-Owned Cabinet Company In Brentwood, TN

We're Kurt and Lisa Fuchs, the founders of The Amish House. In 2012, driven by a deep appreciation for Amish craftsmanship and the people behind it, Kurt began working directly with Amish woodworkers.

In 2017, we opened our first furniture store in Nolensville, Tennessee. Since then, we've shipped handcrafted furniture to 49 states and built lasting relationships with customers who value solid wood furniture and honest craftsmanship.

Opening The Amish House Cabinetry in Brentwood was the natural next step. Since then, we bring the same level of craftsmanship to kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets, and custom cabinetry for homes across Nashville and the U.S.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • With proper care, Amish cabinets often last several decades and can easily serve a home for 40–50 years or more without losing structural integrity. That's because handcrafted Amish cabinets are built from solid hardwood and traditional joinery methods, which makes them far more durable than mass-produced cabinets.

  • The timeline depends on the cabinet line and project size. Entry-level cabinets can be produced in about 14 days and shipped for installation within roughly three weeks. Fully custom Amish cabinets typically take around 8 to 12 weeks after the design is finalized and the contract is approved.

  • Amish cabinets usually cost more than stock cabinets from big box stores because they are built from solid wood and made by skilled craftsmen. However, many homeowners find that they offer better long-term value because they last significantly longer and can be customized to fit the space perfectly.

  • Yes. One of the biggest advantages of our Amish cabinetry is customization. Cabinets can be built to fit unusual layouts, angled walls, large islands, or specific storage needs. This allows homeowners to design kitchens that maximize both space and functionality.

  • No. While our Brentwood cabinets showroom primarily serves the Nashville area, we work with homeowners, builders, and designers across the United States. Our team can coordinate cabinet design, ordering, and delivery for projects nationwide.
