Amish House Cabinets

Our journey started with a deep appreciation for Amish furniture, where durability, craftsmanship, and timeless design come first. In 2012, I spent five years managing multiple locations for a large Amish furniture retailer, gaining firsthand experience in what makes these pieces truly exceptional.

In 2017, Lisa and I decided to build something of our own. We launched The Amish House as an online store, focused on bringing heirloom-quality furniture, handcrafted by Amish and Mennonite artisans, to homes across the country.

EXPANDING BEYOND FURNITURE

From a single idea to a nationwide presence

By 2019, we opened our first physical store in Nolensville, Tennessee. Since then, we have shipped our products to 49 states. Now, with the opening of our new showroom in Brentwood, we are expanding into custom cabinetry.

Today, we have partnered with three exclusive Amish and Mennonite cabinet providers who share our commitment to quality. 

Every cabinet is crafted using carefully selected woods, precise construction methods, and finishes that are meant to last. Choose between options ranging from stock to semi-custom to fully custom, along with a wide selection of wood species, stains, hardware, and sizing.

As we grow, our focus remains the same: craftsmanship without compromise. Our cabinetry line is a natural extension of what we have always done. That is why we focus on making the process simple, collaborative, and genuinely helpful.

Our Lead Kitchen Designer, Kelly Smith, brings over 25 years of experience, guiding clients through each step with clarity and care. When you visit our Brentwood showroom at 1731 Mallory Lane, you can see and feel the difference for yourself.

Kurt + Lisa Fuchs

Owners

Kurt and Lisa Fuchs lead The Amish House with a shared passion for craftsmanship. Kurt has worked closely with Amish craftsmen since 2012, opening their first store in Nolensville, TN, in 2017. Lisa, after a 25-year healthcare career, joined the business full-time in 2025.

Sheri oversees national delivery and logistics, managing a supply chain that reaches across the continental U.S. From suppliers to final delivery, she coordinates transport, inventory, and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered on time and without issues.

Stephanie leads all digital operations, including website management, product listings, promotions, and social media. Entirely self-taught, she has built the systems behind the company's online presence and supports the team with everything day-to-day.
