Built by People Who Care About the Craft

We are Kurt and Lisa Fuchs. In 2012, Kurt began driving north to work directly with Amish woodworkers, drawn to people who still built by hand and stood behind everything they made. Our first furniture store opened in Nolensville in 2017, and our pieces have since reached homes in 49 states.

Amish cabinetry was the natural next chapter. When we opened The Amish House Cabinetry in Brentwood, we brought the same standard and the same craftsmen to the kitchen and bath. We know the people who build for us by name, and we put ours on every piece that leaves the shop.

Very little. Wipe them with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals. Because the finish is worked into solid wood, there is no laminate to peel, and small scratches can be sanded and refinished rather than requiring a full replacement.
Usually, yes. With over 200 finishes and a range of wood species, our designers can get close to an existing stain or piece. Bringing in a photo or a sample at your consultation gives us the best starting point for matching.
Solid wood is repairable in ways engineered cabinets are not. Dents, scratches, and worn finishes can often be sanded and refinished on site or in the shop, so a single damaged door rarely means replacing anything more than that door.
