Quartersawn White Oak showcases mostly straight grain whose natural characteristics provide a beautiful consistent finish.

Rustic Quartersawn White Oak provides all the same benefits of standard Quartersawn, but the craftsman will leave the natural imperfections, such as knot holes and mineral deposits, to remain in the wood for a warm rustic feel. Those knot holes and other imperfections then get filled with a black epoxy to add to the rustic finish. This will prevent food, or other kitchen debris from getting caught in those imperfections.
